This music video is a personal music video because it is all about Johnny’s life, and  about his regrets, he is saying he wants to do it again and right the wrongs he has done, but has enjoyed it. This music video contains clips from his past and people who have seen and been with him many years will understand where they are from and recognise them.

Audience:
The audience of this music video is aimed at people who have been with him from the start, there is inter-textuality linking his life to the bible and there are clips from his past from when he was younger. A museum of him closed down once thriving with people and his accomplishments. Anyone who has been with him from the start will understand the references.

Specific Media Language and Representation:
Various shot types are used and there is no obvious editing effects put in, there are also many close ups on food and Jesus being crucified. This helps with the representation that he is a good man but has done wrong and it is his last act like Jesus having his Last Supper. There are also close ups of his lover showing that he doesn’t regret everything and he loves her.

Narrative:
There is some narrative that tells the story of Johnny Cash and his past hits through using clips of his past to tell the story of his career and his life. A museum is shown to be new and showing his accomplishments at the start of the video but as the video goes on we see time take its toll and a shot of a broken record suggests he has lost all that he once had, his wife, his fame etc.
